Ed surprised me with an early Christmas present. It was a surprise because we had agreed to forego Christmas presents this year given that both our families were coming to Singapore and we were anticipating higher-than-usual expenditures in December. I felt a little bad because I had not got him anything but he had yet another surprise up his sleeve: he'd bought himself some comics and those would be MY Christmas present to him. How resourceful.
