Busy Saturday Morning

At 10am, the laundry system guy came to provide a consultation/quotation. The price was lower than we had expected so we decided to purchase the retractable model --- installation scheduled for Tuesday  (3 more days!).

At 11am, the aircond guy came to service our units. He discovered that the installation had not been done properly, resulting in water leakage. Thankfully, he was able to fix (or rather, work around) the problem. We liked the guy so will probably call him again when the next servicing is due.

At 12pm, the door lock guy came to install our Samsung digital door lock. First, we discovered that the (horizontal) model that we'd wanted did not fit our door, so we settled for another (vertical) model, which turned out to be newer and cheaper. Then, when we tried set our password, we discovered that the back-unit did not match the front-unit  (the guy must have got them mixed up when we switched models). Thankfully, he was back in less than an hour and the problem was rectified in a jiffy. I can't wait to use our new door lock. You know what this means? No more house keys! No more lock-outs! I love my new door lock!  :)

Locked Out

I locked myself out today! I took a cab to the clinic in the morning and unknowingly dropped my house keys on the backseat  (my key chain is black and so is the car seat, easy mistake to make really). I didn't realise until I'd got home that my keys were missing. In the end, I had to call the cab company and thankfully they were very quick to locate the driver. He then drove back (of course I had to pay for the journey) with my keys.

This just affirms our decision to get a digital door lock.  ;p

Accidental Purchase

Today, I accidentally purchased a digital door lock on eBay. I clicked on the "Commit to Buy" button without realising that that meant I was purchasing the product  (okay, so I wasn't thinking, sue me).

My only consolation:

1. We (as in Ed and I) were planning to get a digital door lock
2. We saw this model and we both really liked it
3. The model was selling at a really good price (much lower than we were prepared to pay)

 ... I'm really looking forward to getting our digital door lock.  :)

TV Console

Got our new TV console today. It's even nicer than I remember it to be (in the shop). Plus it makes our living room look much bigger.

Other items under our to-get list this year (in no particular order):

1. Washer-dryer
2. Mirror for dining area
3. Digital lock for main door
4. Window tint

It's always nice to have something to work towards.  :)

Happy Birthday, TJ!

Celebrated my nephew TJ's 3rd birthday today. Happy birthday, sweetie!

Depressed

Can't believe my holiday is coming to an end. In 2 days, I shall have to go back to work. Feel so depressed.  :(

Usually, I would be gearing to go back to work after a long break. This year however I'm dreading it.

Sigh. Am seriously considering switching jobs.
