First Day

on Monday, August 27, 2007

I survived my first day back at work. Am now dead tired, going to sleep early.

On an aside, I've finally completed reading "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". Must say, it was surprisingly pretty good. In my opinion, the best in the series. Can't wait to catch the movie version.

Good night, sweet dreams.

Back to Work

on Sunday, August 26, 2007

My holiday has finally ended. I'm starting my new job tomorrow. A bit excited, a bit nervous.

...

I really have to finish "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" tonight. Am now on page 693.

Lunch with Adrian & Sook Yian

on Saturday, August 25, 2007

Adrian and Sookie are in Singapore! Had a small gathering: Adrian, Sookie, Khin Wee, Jen, Sean, Ed and I. Went to Arab Street and had Egyptian food.

...

Meanwhile, I'm now on page 524 of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows".

Coming Soon

on Tuesday, August 21, 2007

Went to check out George's newly acquired apartment last night (just around the corner and less than 5 minutes' walk from our place) ...

Place looks empty (duh!) but can imagine how nice it'll be once renovated, furnished and occupied. He's moving in this weekend.

...

Check me out on George's Vespa!

A Visit to the Zoo

on Monday, August 20, 2007

Finally paid a visit to the Singapore (Mandai) Zoo yesterday.

The weather was kind to us, bright and shiny but not hot or humid. Took lots and lots of pictures of the animals.

Life Without TV

It's Saturday. Our Starhub (equivalent of Astro in Malaysia) set-top box is down and we have no DVDs.

Sigh ...

I've turned to blogging (see entry below).

Ed has turned to his Tranformers.

Coolest Items At Home

Star Wars lightsaber (wedding gift from my parents to Ed, go figure).

Magnetic dart board (housewarming gift from Daniel and Marlene).

Tic-tac-toe set (yep, they're sheep).

Water dispenser.

Portable fan.

Dog door-stops.

My toys (in the absence of Patch, these will have to do).

Ed's toys.

My Favourite Wedding Pix

I'm Back (Again)

Yes, I'm in between jobs. Again. ;p

...

Went back to KL over the weekend to attend Adrian and Sookie's wedding. Had a good time catching up with friends and family.

... ...

Managed to satisfy the following cravings:

  • Indian rojak and cendol (the Gula Melaka in Singapore just isn't the same)
  • Fried kway teow (they make it with sweet black sauce in Singapore)
  • Bak kut teh (they make it with white pepper soup in Singapore, not as good as the black herbal soup in Malaysia)
  • Curry mee
  • Nasi lemak

... ... ...

Also caught up with the newest addition to the Quah (or is it, Ng?) clan. :)
