Income Tax

It's that time of the year again. Nope, it's not my birthday, it's income tax time. A couple of my friends have already received their income tax statement last week. But to date, neither Ed nor I have received ours. It's so annoying! I keep checking the mailbox and IRAS website daily, but no sign of it  :(. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I look forward to paying income tax, more like I just want to get it over and done with. I've done a rough estimation of how much my income tax will be and have set aside the appropriate funds for it, so at least this year, I won't be caught off-guard. Sigh, wished the government would just send me my income tax statement!!!

Pre-Delivery Jitters

Went for my monthly gynae visit over the weekend. Dr. Benjamin says Cameron is growing well; good size, good weight. Phew, and to think I was worried that I wasn't gaining enough weight.

Good news is, Dr. Benjamin says if we're going C-section, the EDD can be brought forward  :). Previously, the EDD was 27 September, but now we can bring it forward to 18 September earliest!

Bad news is, I'm starting to dread the delivery  :(. I've always had an innate fear for giving birth. It wasn't so much of an issue in the first half of the pregnancy because it always seemed so far away. But now that I'm entering week 25, it's starting to become very real. Call me a coward but I'm taking the easy way out by going C-section. I know I know, there are  risks involved and the recovery is more painful post surgery but to me, it's better than going through the whole pushing and screaming trauma.

Sigh, so wished there was an easier way to give birth.

Preggers!

Wow, it's been awhile since I last blogged. Nothing much's happened ... except I got pregnant  :).

We found out just after Chinese New Year. Actually, I suspected something was up (cause my period was late) but I did not want to let Ed know in case it turned out to be a false alarm. As it turns out, it wasn't and I'm now 23 weeks pregnant.

Is it a boy or girl? It's a boy  :). And his name is Cameron  :) :).
