I'm reminded afresh of how fragile life is by the recent passing of a friend's wife. It was a freak accident - she was in a cab when a lorry crashed into the cab and killed her - and she was only 30 plus.
It's sad but it always takes an incident like this to remind me to stop complaining. Sure, my job isn't great and I dread going to work. Sure, my home instalment is sky-high and I've had to cut back on my spending. But you know what, at least I still have my loved ones around me. What more can I ask for?

Hi Anne..happy new year! this post struck a chord with me as this is what i remind myself that life is a fleeting. Oprah reminded us on her show that whenever you feel overwhelmed about life, just breath deep and feel it and know how lucky you are that we are breathing..thats a great start!
hey kendra! glad you could drop by. happy new year to you too :). yea it's sad isn't it when we get caught up with the little little things in life that don't go the way we want them to and forget about the blessings that we already have. just my 2 cents worth. ;)
